He felt good, free, with his wings out. it had been half a century since he had spread them so gracefully. He heard footfalls to his right. A voice, understandable. it spoke for a time and then stopped. he had heard what it said. And he was pondering it.
Sanson, I know that name. A young angel I believe.
He turned his body towards Sanson. He had asked who Adam was. Inside, Adam laughed. it was a kicker to him because nearly every angel in this world knew who he was. But of course. This one was too young to know. He looked him over. He seemed good enough.
A.... Reaper?...
Adam hadn't heard that job for many years. As far as he knew, the reaping was left to the demons. Seemed times had changed.
" Well Kiddo. My name is Adam Criswell. And as to your question, why am I so different? because I'm a higher angel than most. Only a few choirs surpass me. But you needn't be bothered with them................ God, it's nice to have the wings out again. "
He turned back to Kate with a whisper of his wings and they slowly contracted back inwards. His hand was extended out halfway towards hers still. he still didn't understand why she wanted to shake his hand. But he would soon find out.
His fingers slid over her palm and he grasped her hand. He didn't know the last time he had actual skin to skin contact with his sister. it was strange for a moment. then something happened. As if all the air had been sucked from his lungs. His vision became blurry as a surge of power flushed through his entire person. He looked down and his visible form was fading away. Closing his eyes and focusing all the energy inside him, as much as he could without breath, he concentrated, but nothing happened.
opening his eyes again, he stumbled back, his grip on Kate's hand letting loose. Expecting to be shoved back into the world he knew, he was still in this new world. This dark, decrepit world of which he saw with his eyes. it was dark, darker than anything place he had ever seen. Shadows lept everywhere. Not the kind you get from playing light across something. These had a mind of their own. they moved freely and without constraint of an item they conformed to.
A muttering was distant, but not the kind that came from an angry child. No this came from a thousand voices, all at once. But it was incoherent. It had power behind it. It had anger behind it. It had... It had.... Kate behind it.
Her power imprint was all over this world. And for the second time in his life, he was truly afraid. he could feel a pull at this world. She was merging them. And then, just as sudden as he was there. He wasn't. He was back on Earth, on the ground. His wings splayed out beneath him and Kate standing above him with the cruelest smile upon her face.
He stood up and stumbled back from her with a look of fear in his eyes.
" God help us all kate. What are you doing? "

Kate still wore her smile as she stepped back from Adam. She went over to some box that had been left on the street. She sat down leaning against the brick wall of a building. She felt the power still roam deep within her. It was like an endless adrenaline rush.
" God help us all kate. What are you doing? "
"God won't help you now darling, brother. " Kate said pausing as she looked at the skies. Then she looked down at Adam again. "I listen. I talk. And I offer a passage. Among other things." She replied to Adam's question that he had gotten out from his shock. "The voices are a funny thing." Her faint smile grew into a grin as she sat casually on the box.

"Well Adam, I sense a goodness from you. So if you don't mind I will keep close to you, for these times are shady, I will admit I am very lost as to what is going on at this estate and what makes it so special. Looking back at my previous experiences in the past day I feel vulnerable and weak. It is a true honor to meet you, Adam."
Sanson lost his attention towards Adam when from the darkness he sees a figure, a dark figure, it was a women. He felt her sense of darkness and power, it was very dignifying and it hit him like a train coming at full speed. He felt like he couldn't move, but he managed to pull back a few steps but still keeping close to Adam. All of Sanson's focus is on this Lady, she sees him gently offer her hand to Adam. A calm greeting, she seems kind. He watches Adam's legs grow weak and his wings frail instantly as she grabs his hand to shake. He trembles for a second and looks afraid, unconscious even. Adam is fully alert again and his wings tense back up as if life was shot like a bullet back into his flimsy body. Sanson watches Adam stare in wonderment at the women and hears him mutter a few words. Sanson for some reason was not in tune, the lady's evil power is so strong, its so deafening, Sanson couldn't see straight. He feels himself lean backward, time is slow, he is falling, his embrace with the ground struck and the last image he saw was a faint smile from the women. Sanson was unconscious at this point, no dreams, nothing, just darkness caving in around him.

Kubisu
If there was one thing Kubisu disliked, it was being alone at night; but his solitude was for a purpose tonight. He also didn't intend to be alone for very long, anyway. He didn't particularly care who he found, as long as he found someone soon. Then again, perhaps moving at very high speeds was one of the reasons his internal sensors weren't finding any "demons". The overactive cyborg was zooming from rooftop to rooftop in what he considered "true superhero fashion". Tonight his usual patrol duty was more like a Search & Destroy mission; to him, at least. Kubisu was a thrill-seeker, that was for sure, and what bigger thrill could there be than fighting big and powerful demons?
He hadn't yet found any of those said demons that he wanted to challenge to a little friendly match (to the death), and as he'd already surmised to himself it could possibly be due to the fact he was travelling too fast. His sensors worked well at high speeds when he was looking at and closing in on a target, but leaping over their heads and passing them by made it difficult to get a lock. It was for this reason that the cyborg halted himself on a rooftop; and a fancy rooftop it was. The top of what Kubisu's constantly-updated GPS was telling him was a Slave House was about as extravagent as the rest of the mansion. His sleek, dark hair blowing in the cold night air, Kubisu felt like striking a dramatic pose; of course, his reluctance to accept the seriousness of almost any situation was something he considered extremely charming about himself, simply because he didn't very much like it when things - or people - got serious.
His thoughts were rather rudely interrupted by a rather startling alarm going off in his head. The warning listed two extremely powerful entities as well as a third in the area, with an additional note that at least one of these entities was exerting power on another. Turning his attention in the direction his sensors told him to look, Kubisu's eyes zoomed in to show him Adam Criswell - his current employer - lying on the ground with a new pair of wings protruding from his back, and standing over him was a woman. Nearby lay an Angel, whom Kubisu assumed was unconscious from the way he was splayed out on the ground. Before he could even make an assessment of Adam's current state of health, the man began to move and managed to stand.
" God help us all kate. What are you doing? "

He didn't understand it at all, and so immediately wrote the woman off as a nutter - despite her being labelled as extremely dangerous by his various sensors. He did, however, understand that Adam could be in grave danger at this moment and his aid might be required. So he would offer it. Launching himself from the roof, directly to the ground, Kubisu caught himself in a handstand which immediately flipped over to land him on his feet.
"If you're talkin' to voices, I could immediately list a few numbers for you to call and get some free psychiatric help." The cyborg offered to the woman with a sarcastic tone and a cheeky smile. A hand rose to brush away some sleek tresses invading his line of sight, then casually dropped to his hip. The Asian man looked rather out of place here, but considering there were two men with wings nearby, at least he wasn't the weirdest person about.

Kate's eyes flashed with golden yellow as she directed her look to the asian man. He was acting all brave. He didn't know who he was talking to. She stared at him pondering wether he was worthy of destroying.
Kate glanced at Adam. "Your friend is acting very foolish right now Adam. Would you like me to send him on a little trip?" A vicious smile rose to her lips as she purred out the words like a cat. "Or will you save him from his own foolishness?"
